George Baker (judge)

Sir George Gillespie Baker (25 April 1910–13 June 1984) was a British judge. He was President of the Family Division of the High Court of Justice from 1971 to 1979.

Educated Glasgow Academy; Strathallan School, Perthshire; Brasenose College, Oxford (Hon. Scholarship; Senator Hulme Scholar). Commissioned The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles), 1940. AAG British War Crimes Executive, Nuremberg, 1945. Contested (C) Southall (UK Parliament constituency), 1945.
